Tim Walker

We went on a class trip the V&A museum to see Tim Walker’s exhibition Wonderful things. The lay out and decoration of the exhibition was very unique. I haven’t been to any exhibitions like this before. There was a great use of props, colours, wallpapers, music, noises. He created such an atmosphere to co alongside his artwork and photographs. Tim Walker has a dreamy/imaginary presence in his photographs.

A lot of his work gave me a similar feeling to the one I got when watch Charlie and the chocolate factory. Very colourful and very unreal and imaginative.

The photo of a man looking through a hole was the highlight of the exhibition for me. There were many different glass holes to look through and each one magnified into a model land with an illusion. Each hole would focus on one part of the land and you couldn’t really see anything else until looking through the next one. Each of the had so much detail it was unbelievable so much going on in the same area, but you couldn’t see unless you looked from different perspectives. It really made me think about life. I remember the first one being a car crash. All photos taken by me at the exhibition. https://www.timwalkerphotography.com/
